RECONFIGURING REMOTENESS - A 3D VIRTUAL EXHIBITION
Updated: Nov 13, 2020
2020 has been that year of challenges and inspirations. Living on the Far South Coast of NSW I am surrounded by extreme beauty and the constant reminded that climate change is already here.
During the new year, our region experience devastating bushfires. This was quickly followed by Covid 19.
Living in a regional remote location already meant exhibition opportunities are sparse.
With the help of South East Arts, Bega Valley Regional Gallery and the Regional Arts Fund I was granted a micro grant to put on a 3D virtual exhibition showcasing 20 artists from my area.
This covered the Far South Coast of NSW and the Snowy Monaro regions. The exhibition 'Reconfiguring Remoteness" featured established and emerging artists.
The exhibition also featured a large body of work of local Yuin Indigenous artist, Alison Walker.
